Description
The Environmental Governance Global Record (EG-GR) is a collaborative digital archive and analytic platform developed within the Disaster STS Network. The project aims to document and analyze the dynamics of environmental governance and environmental injustice across diverse geographic sites and political contexts.
The portal brings together case studies, timelines, documents, and analytic essays that trace how environmental harms, regulatory systems, and advocacy efforts interact over time. By assembling materials from multiple locations and actors, the project seeks to characterize both patterns and variation in environmental injustice and to provide resources for researchers, advocates, and communities engaged in environmental governance work.
The EG-GR is designed as a living research infrastructure, allowing scholars and collaborators to curate materials, build comparative analyses, and develop new approaches to studying environmental governance in late industrial societies.
